Debrecen, the capital of art: the Munkácsy Trilogy and MODEM await

Perhaps the most popular exhibition space in the museum is Munkácsy Hall, where you can see the artist’s Christ Trilogy. Marvel at the monumental works that depict Christ’s journey from his conflict with his accusers to his death on the cross. It will be an unforgettable experience even if you’re not religious and do not know Munkácsy’s oeuvre in full detail.

Interestingly, the three paintings on biblical themes were never seen side by side by the artist himself: they were first shown together here at the Déri Museum on 25 August 1995.

MODEM, the largest contemporary exhibition space in Central Europe, awaits with works from home and abroad.
