A Historic Location in Budapest

Time Out Market Budapest is located at Blaha Lujza Square, inside the iconic Corvin Palace building, which once housed the sensational Corvin Department Store.
Opened in 1926, the department store was one of the most modern of its kind in Europe at the time. Over the decades, the building suffered considerable wear and tear, and a major renovation was needed. During the reconstruction, the listed building's neoclassical style was preserved, while it was updated with modern functions to suit today’s needs. Today, Corvin Palace offers an exciting meeting of history and modernity.

What Does Time Out Market Budapest Offer?

Staying true to its concept, the new Hungarian venue — which can accommodate up to 800 people — brings together the best of the country’s modern gastronomy.
Among the eleven restaurants, Michelin-starred M’EAT by Rácz Jenő offers premium Hungarian bites with a Mediterranean twist, while LIRA by Essência delivers fine dining flavours in a more relaxed setting. Hai Nam Pho serves fresh, authentic pho soups made using Vietnamese family recipes and local ingredients.
101 Bistro blends Asian and Western flavours, using rich Hungarian produce — think Shoupa chicken or Szechuan spinach. Anyukám Mondta’s pizzas have earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand, and Bigfish brings fresh seafood, sushi and fish & chips with a seaside feel. Michelin-starred chef Pesti István presents homestyle Hungarian favourites like goulash and lecsó at CANTEEN, while Casa Christa captures the tastes of the Balaton region and Hungarian countryside. Pingrumba offers mezze-style sharing plates inspired by the Middle East, North Africa, and India, and Szaletly reimagines Hungarian classics like layered potatoes and poppy seed bread pudding with a modern touch. For burger lovers, Tuning Burger serves handcrafted gourmet burgers made with premium local ingredients.

The Market’s Bars Also Offer Plenty of Choice:

The Absolut & Lillet Bar serves up expertly balanced Espresso Martinis, refreshing Cosmopolitans and spiced Bloody Marys. At the Dreher Bar, you’ll find freshly tapped, unpasteurised beers, showcasing over 170 years of brewing tradition.
And at the Wines of Hungary Bar, you can explore all 22 of Hungary’s wine regions through a glass of wine or sparkling.

Beyond food and drink, Time Out Market Budapest also hosts culinary events, workshops and special programmes — offering fresh, ever-changing experiences to visitors.
