10th Wine Conference

What’s next in the vineyards? – The 10th Wine Conference awaits with a special lineup on March 4th.

On the 4th of March, key figures of the wine industry, including winemakers, lawyers, marketing specialists, journalists, politicians, and opinion leaders, will gather for the 10th time to discuss “what’s next in the vineyards?”

The Wine Conference has come a long way since its launch in 2013, and it’s no coincidence that this event has become a major professional meeting point in the industry for personalities such as Stevie Kim (MD, Vinitaly International), Pierre-Emmanuel Maire (BrandThinktank Group), John Szabó MS, Caroline Gilby MW, Prof. Dr. Gergely Szolnoki (Geisenheim University), Paul Mabray (Pix.wine), and Elizabeth Gabay MW.

The organizers of the conference always make a special effort to take questions from the audience that generate meaningful debate, hoping for real answers that can then advance the cause of Hungarian wine. As such, there are sure to be many exciting topics on the table, such as 10-10 minute “rapid” lectures and tastings to search for the best value national white or red varieties, discussions on organic wines, and examining good practices at some of the most successful domestic restaurants, learning about the coordinated work of chefs and sommeliers.

According to the organizers, the event is being continuously expanded, with more activities and topics to be announced in the coming weeks (for details, check the website: www.aborkonferenica.hu).

Last but not least, let’s not forget that in previous years this event has seen the announcement of the 50 best Hungarian winemakers in the Carpathian Basin, so you can also expect to hear this year's nominees for the ‘Winemaker’s Winemaker’ Award!
