September means Miskolc and the CineFest! Yes, it’s that time of year again, when audiences can enjoy the best films of the previous year at Hungary’s internationally renowned CineFest Miskolc International Film Festival.
The festival receives entries from all over the world, from which a pre-jury selects the films to compete in categories such as feature film, documentary, short film, and the Hungarian short film section, CineNewWave. With the exception of the CineNewWave entries, all the films will be making their Hungarian debut, and the Open Eye selection will feature some of the best films from the past year, including many that have been entries in previous competitions or that have been screened at major film festivals around the world. If you love cinema, then CineFest is the place to be this September, with the festival lineup also featuring Q&As, a poster exhibition, conferences, book launches, and workshops.
