In addition to the full, 5.2km distance, participants can opt for a half-distance swim or, for the second year in a row, the full distance by SUP.
Despite being an event which requires no small amount of physical and mental preparation to complete, the swim across Lake Balaton remains one of the most popular events of the summer. More than 200,000 people have completed the 5.2km distance since 1979, with nearly 7,000 taking part last year alone, a number made up of both amateur and professional athletes from all over the country.
At the end of the 5.2km swim, on Platán Beach in Balatonboglár, numerous activities and events await the swimmers and Stand Up Paddlers, together with their friends, family, and fans.
