Badacsony Harvest Festival10-13 September, 2026

The Badacsony Harvest Festival is one of the region’s long-standing traditions and will be held for the 62nd time in 2026.

The festival dates back to 1964, when the first televised Badacsony Harvest was held. Since then, the event has celebrated the work of local grape growers and winemakers and the fruits of the harvest. During the three-day festival, visitors can enjoy a variety of cultural programmes and events on the main stage in Badacsony, with the traditional harvest parade taking centre stage on Sunday.

The Badacsony Harvest Festival is one of the most notable autumn events in the wine region and has become a popular way to mark the end of the tourist season. Visitors can taste wines from local producers and watch the country’s longest harvest parade.

The parade will start at 10 am on Sunday, September 13, in Badacsonyörs, following Main Road 71 between Badacsonyörs and Badacsony. The colourful procession will feature representatives from surrounding villages, folk dance groups, Hungarian wine guilds, hussars, flag-wavers, fire jugglers, cavalry troops and brass bands.

The festival offers an opportunity to experience local wine culture, traditional celebrations and the atmosphere of the harvest season in Badacsony.
