While offering insights into his fascinating œuvre, the festival does not restrict itself to the work of the composer, seeking instead to represent Bartók’s spirit, creativity, and outlook across countless genres. To this end, there will be performances from an incredible range of musicians, including the Czech Philharmonic, Péter Eötvös and the Klangforum Wien, Benjamin Appl and the Swiss Gabetta Consort, Sara Baras and her company, Muzsikás (celebrating their 50th jubilee), the Purcell Choir and the Orfeo Orchestra, EELS, Kristóf Baráti with the London Philharmonia Orchestra, as well as Budapest Ritmo.
Whether you are a die-hard music fan or simply looking to take in something new, there is no shortage of unmissable events and unforgettable experiences to look forward to at the Bartók Spring International Arts Weeks.
