Let's fill the new Budapest Handball Arena!
On December 16th, just one month before the start of the EHF EURO 2022, the tournament’s Hungarian organizing committee will hold a large-scale test event at the Budapest Handball Arena.
An All-Star game will see all the major players of Hungarian handball from recent decades facing off against each other, while further entertainment for the crowd will be provided by the Battle of the Mascots and a performance from rock band Punnany Massif. All proceeds from ticket sales will go to a fundraising campaign.
Before the All-Star competitions, the Hungarian Handball Federation will select the new members to be inaugurated into their Handball Hall of Fame, then the legends of the women’s national team will take to the court to compete, followed by the greatest male players of recent decades.
Under current legislation, admission to the event is only possible with the use of a vaccination card, and mask-wearing is mandatory throughout. (Rules for entry are liable to be changed at a later date in accordance with updated government measures.)
