In 2008 only 27,000 people attended, but by the time the last festival season rolled around in 2019, there were already 114,000 visitors to the Campus Festival.
It takes place in the Great Forest of Debrecen, in the Stadium and its forest surroundings, and this natural setting makes it one of the most comfortable four-day festivals around. It’s also where Hungary’s biggest university club is based, and is just a stone’s throw away from the city where you can find the amazing new waterpark and beachfront, with plenty of accommodation nearby.
Annually there are around 300 performers, with both Hungarian and mainstream international headliners, for example The Prodigy, Apocalyptica, Akon, Lukas Graham, Limp Bizkit, Motörhead, Jess Glynne, Alan Walker, and Nabiha, among others.
The festival has already received international acclaim, twice receiving the Best European Mid-Sized Festival award.
