Festival Academy

Festival Academy’s event series will bring a colourful palette of international and Hungarian stars to Budapest’s splendid music venues between 16 and 25 July. Besides the evening concerts, the prestigious chamber music festival will await visitors with a wide variety of side events.

From the 16th until the 25th of July, Festival Academy Budapest will feature la crème de la crème of the world’s classical music soloists, including Gidon Kremer and the Kremerata Baltica, Joshua Bell, and the unique Moldovan violinist Patricia Kopatchinskaja. Representing the Hungarian classical music scene will be Katalin Kokas and Barnabás Kelemen, along with Kristóf Baráti, István Várdai, Lilla Horti, Dóra Kokas, József Balog, and many other great artists.

The event series will be made into a genuine festival treat with thirteen concerts, visual art and photography exhibitions, the folk music gala night, the Balkan folk music concert, and the restaurant music provided by Lajos Sárközi Jr and his band. During the ten days of Festival Academy Budapest our audience can relish singularly thrilling chamber music recitals, mind-boggling concerts by world-class classical musicians, and a truly electric atmosphere.
