The Flower Carnival has become so much more than just a parade of spectacular floral arrangements, evolving instead into a cavalcade of colourful events providing visitors of all ages and backgrounds with a week of wonderful entertainment and activities.
One defining feature of the festival remains its close ties with local communities, with a huge percentage of local residents connected in some way to the carnival events. They are joined by cultural partners, NGOs, and regional and global corporations, all of whom are invited to return each year to take part.
However, while the festival may have evolved to offer a whole host of activities, its fundamental essence remains the showcasing of beautiful plants and flowers, and this preservation and exhibition of nature is not only of interest to the organisers, but to us all. The message of the Flower Carnival is spread in the spirit of tradition and eco-friendliness, ushering us all into a new era of sustainable and environmentally friendly cooperation.
