Global Chess Festival 2021

Judit Polgar’s Global Chess Festival 2021, sponsored by Morgan Stanley, will be a hybrid festival and we hope to meet you there, either in person at the Hungarian National Gallery, or online at a large-scale event brimming with creativity and innovation.

The richness of chess will be highlighted in presentations about sport, art, science and education, and chess lovers worldwide will be able to take part in tournaments, simuls and chess classes from beginner-level to masterclass.

In addition to this, the Chess Artistry Competition challenges study composers from all ages to send in their best creations, while the Goodwill Ambassador of Chess Awards express our gratitude to outstanding personalities promoting our game. As always, we welcome chess events from all over the world to join together in celebrating the power and inspiration of chess on October 9th, 2021.

The festival is under the patronage of the Member of the European Commission Ms Mariya Gabriel, responsible for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth.
