Australian-born Sarah McKenzie, whose list of great admirers includes Michael Bublé, will be performing her favourite classics along with songs from her album Secrets of My Heart, with her band also featuring the excellent Hungarian saxophonist, Gábor Bolla.
Also performing will be the band described an "anomaly of contemporary jazz", the Yellowjackets, returning to the Müpa Budapest stage after ten years. Having earned many accolades in their more than forty years together, they will show off their seemingly inexhaustible energy in a performance alongside Cologne’s WDR Big Band, delighting the Müpa Budapest audience with material from their 25th jubilee album.
The three-day mini festival will close with a concernt from Cyrille Aimée, an artist with an adventurous life whose talent has been recognised by a jury of top international talent scouts, including the Thelonious Monk Jazz Competition, as well as by Steven Sondheim, Wynton Marsalis, and the New York Times.
