Liszt Fest International Cultural Festival08-25 October, 2026

Organized by Müpa Budapest, the Liszt Fest International Cultural Festival welcomes visitors to Budapest from October 8 to 22, 2026, featuring leading artists in classical music, contemporary dance, jazz, and other art forms.

Inspired by Franz Liszt’s legacy as a composer and performer, this multidisciplinary festival is one of the highlights of Budapest’s autumn cultural season. Following the piano virtuoso’s uncompromising and innovative spirit, the two-week event connects classical music with contemporary art, opera with jazz, and folk music with theatre and experimental productions.

Müpa Budapest serves as the festival’s main venue, while many of the city’s leading cultural institutions, concert halls, and outdoor spaces also host unique performances by international stars, world-renowned symphony orchestras, and talented Hungarian artists. In addition to large-scale concerts, the programme features professional talks and multidisciplinary performances.
