Between the 20th and the 22nd of May, wines will be the main attraction in Gyöngyös.
The Mátra Wine Days are a great opportunity to discover the wines of the Mátra region, while also taking advantage of the fantastic atmosphere created by fairs, evening concerts, and numerous other activities.
For these three days, the Main Square of Gyöngyös will play host to several wineries from the Mátra Wine Region, with the winemakers of Gyöngyös and its surrounding areas awaiting visitors with plenty of wine specialities offering an insight into regional wine flavours. Saturday will also see the announcement of the results of the Mátra Wine Region Wine Competition, in which the lucky winner of the annual Wine of Gyöngyös award will be revealed.
Throughout the event, people of all ages will be able to enjoy a great variety of music spanning folk dance, classical, pop, and blues, and the evenings will be lit up by unmissable concerts from Miklós Fenyő, the Bagossy Brothers Company, and Blahalouisiana.
