Müpa Tent

Magical winter experiences await you once again at Müpa Budapest!

From November 30th, Müpa Budapest will be in a festive mood, with the Müpa Tent ready to welcome visitors of all ages with old favourites and new performances, and the ice rink will return with a special musical surprise.

Every Advent season since 2016 the Müpa Tent has welcomed both children and adults with magical events. Returning this year after last year's hiatus, to the delight of many, will be live performances of Recirquel's winter contemporary circus tale, Kristály, while a cheerful and witty escape from our everyday anxieties will be provided in music and song by the Attila József Award-winning writer/poet Anna Szabó T's enchanting Sky-High Story, interpreted by the cream of the crop of Hungarian music and theatre.

One of the most popular venues of the Advent period, the Müpa Ice Rink will return in a renewed form this year; while enjoying the wonderful panorama of the Danube, visitors can now skate to live music on the more than 300-square-metre covered skating rink. Starting from December 4th, every week there will be unique productions and exciting musical lineups to entertain skaters on the rink, including The Bluebay Foxes, Sena DagaDub, the solo project of Qualitons guitarist Barna Szőke, MYGL, as well as Ian O’Sullivan, frontman of Mongooz and the Magnet, all performing concerts with an intimate atmosphere.
