Calling all lovers of Oldtimer vehicles!

This year’s Oldtimer Show will be held at the usual time and place of mid-April at the Hungarian Railway History Park. From April the 14th to the 16th, visitors will once again be able to enjoy a stunning array of vehicles over an area of 10 hectares, including the main exhibition of Oldtimer cars and motorbikes in the circular heating house, and larger vehicles like USA big irons, buses, trucks, and tractors arranged in the outer areas. Of course, the most important question each year is the exhibition catalogue, and Oldtimer vehicle fans can rest assured that this year’s show will feature plenty of completely new content, including lots of foreign curiosities.

Saturday will feature a “Tuning Car Exhibition” in Víztorony Park, while Sunday’s event line-up will include the “American Car Club Hungary Meeting” and the “Jaguar Club Meeting”, both of which are accessible with prior registration only. Across the whole weekend, the Water Tower Park will feature displays of Soviet, American, and Vietnamese military vehicles and equipment, while vintage tractors will be on show next to Csaba Tájház, and a “Sports Car Exhibition” will be held in the “Adventure Walkers Exhibition” area.

But the Oldtimer show is not only about Oldtimer vehicles; the exhibition will also feature plenty more traditional events and activities. The Csaba Landscape House will open its doors to visitors once more, and there will be a wealth of producers and artisans displaying their wares for visitors to sample and buy, including “Gasstro” Street, "Kézműves" Street, and "Vásártér", all of which will offer home-made food and handicrafts.

During the long weekend of the Oldtimer Show, all the sights of the Railway History Park will also come to life through steam locomotive, railway carriage, and model railway exhibitions. And for the more hands-on visitors, interactive railway activities will also be available, including locomotive turning, horse railway, turnpike, rail car, garden railway, and a real steam locomotive.

The Oldtimer Show is a family-friendly event, and there will be plenty of free activities on offer for children, including a petting zoo, craft demonstrations, archery, airsoft shooting, face painting, a playground, and the opportunity to try their hands at handicrafts.

The use of our parking lots and toilets is free of charge (although only spaces clearly indicated by police are available for use, and cars parked illegally will be removed at the owner’s expense), and there is also space for bus parking, although this must be arranged in advance. For visitors arriving by motorbike or bike, separate parking and bike storage will be available in the car park marked P1 and, given that there is a cycle path that goes directly to the park, we strongly recommend that as many people as possible choose this mode of transport. The Hungarian Railway Historical Park can also be reached by train on the MÁV Esztergom line, as well as by various other means of public transport, detailed information about which can be found here: https://www.oldtimershow.hu/megkozelites/

Starting this year, tickets for the event will not be sold in advance. Tickets will only be available for purchase on site, during the opening hours of the event. The good news is that, despite high inflation, adult tickets will be sold at last year's prices, and an unlimited number of tickets can be purchased using cash (HUF or EUR), bank cards, or SZÉP cards. Please note that annual passes for the Railway History Park are not valid for the Oldtimer Show.

The rules of the Oldtimer Show can be read here: https://www.oldtimershow.hu/hazirend/  Our event is classified as an "exhibition" and a "fair", so it can be visited without a vaccination certificate according to the latest virus protection rules in force. For up-to-date information, keep an eye on our www.oldtimershow.hu page.

Finally, we are delighted to announce that there will also be Oldtimers in the Railway History Park in autumn, with our second annual "Tuning and Retro Festival" festival – a joint event from the organisers of the Oldtimer show and AMTS – held from October 13th-15th.
