This year’s Oldtimer Show will be held at the usual time and place of mid-April at the Hungarian Railway History Park. From April the 14th to the 16th, visitors will once again be able to enjoy a stunning array of vehicles over an area of 10 hectares, including the main exhibition of Oldtimer cars and motorbikes in the circular heating house, and larger vehicles like USA big irons, buses, trucks, and tractors arranged in the outer areas. Of course, the most important question each year is the exhibition catalogue, and Oldtimer vehicle fans can rest assured that this year’s show will feature plenty of completely new content, including lots of foreign curiosities.
Saturday will feature a “Tuning Car Exhibition” in Víztorony Park, while Sunday’s event line-up will include the “American Car Club Hungary Meeting” and the “Jaguar Club Meeting”, both of which are accessible with prior registration only. Across the whole weekend, the Water Tower Park will feature displays of Soviet, American, and Vietnamese military vehicles and equipment, while vintage tractors will be on show next to Csaba Tájház, and a “Sports Car Exhibition” will be held in the “Adventure Walkers Exhibition” area.
But the Oldtimer show is not only about Oldtimer vehicles; the exhibition will also feature plenty more traditional events and activities. The Csaba Landscape House will open its doors to visitors once more, and there will be a wealth of producers and artisans displaying their wares for visitors to sample and buy, including “Gasstro” Street, "Kézműves" Street, and "Vásártér", all of which will offer home-made food and handicrafts.
During the long weekend of the Oldtimer Show, all the sights of the Railway History Park will also come to life through steam locomotive, railway carriage, and model railway exhibitions. And for the more hands-on visitors, interactive railway activities will also be available, including locomotive turning, horse railway, turnpike, rail car, garden railway, and a real steam locomotive.
