In 2024, Emir Kusturica & The No Smoking Orchestra performed again at Müpa. It was a great party. Folk punk? Balkan folk music? Let's forget about categories! Kusturica consistently builds his films around music. (Sometimes the songs even become hits.) This time, he is the composer himself. His 2004 film does not tell a story with grand visions and surreal tableaux, but revolves around the world of everyday people.

Time Out Market Budapest recently launched a new cultural event series, Art&Sip, which will take place every six to seven weeks, with the first edition held at the end of January. The aim of the programme is to spotlight the artist currently exhibiting at the Apollo Gallery, located in the Corvin Palace: carefully selected artworks are installed in the Market’s The Vault room, offering visitors a closer look at the featured creator’s work. The exhibiting artist attends each Art&Sip event in person, giving guests the opportunity to meet them. For every edition, the Market also prepares a limited, event-exclusive cocktail—available only during the programme at the Spirit Bar—visually and conceptually inspired by the style of the featured artist.
