The world’s top athletes will go head-to-head in Budapest at the brand-new World Athletics Ultimate Championship, the global athletics final, taking place from September 11 to 13, 2026, at the National Athletics Centre, where fans can expect an unforgettable festival atmosphere.

Launched by World Athletics, this premium sporting event is the crown jewel of the outdoor athletics season and will be held in Budapest for the very first time. Over three evening sessions, nearly 400 Olympic and World Championship medalists, as well as world-ranked leaders from more than 70 countries, will compete in spectacular, straight knockout finals.
