Live Music, Budapest! – Concerts in late spring and summer

Mark your calendar: Budapest, 2 May 2026 – Eric Clapton, the legendary 'Slowhand' and one of the most influential guitarists of all time, will return to Hungary after 20 years. Eric Clapton will perform at the MVM Dome in one of the most eagerly anticipated arena concerts of the year. During his sixty-year career, the multiple Grammy-winning guitarist and singer has performed in Budapest only once. The MVM Dome concerts will reach another highlight in summer 2026 with Sting's performance.

 

One of the highlights of Budapest's 2026 concert season will be Metallica's performance at Puskás Arena in June, promising a world-class concert experience for tens of thousands of fans. Budapest’s music-loving audience will experience Metallica’s record-breaking M72 world tour, now in its fourth year, with the No Repeat Weekend format—two nights featuring completely different setlists and opening acts. Among the Puskás Arena concerts in the first half of the year, Pitbull’s July performance stands out as a highlight.

Events in Dürer Kert and concerts in Müpa

Club concerts are expected to deliver a fantastic atmosphere this year, with Public Image Ltd performing on May 20 as one of the standout events at Dürer Kert. One of post-punk’s most influential and innovative bands, John Lydon’s Public Image Ltd (PiL), returns to Hungary 15 years after their first concert, as part of the highly successful This Is Not The Last Tour. Jazzbois, a highly acclaimed Hungarian jazz-funk band, will perform on March 6 in the Müpa concert hall. Boasting millions of online listeners, the band is preparing a special visual and musical experience for their first concert in a large concert hall.  Among the summer concerts at Müpa, the performances of Morcheeba and Youssou N’Dour are also noteworthy.
