Family activities on the northern shore of Lake Balaton

At the Festetics Imre Experience Centre in Gyenesdiás, you can enjoy a lively, animal-themed experience. Red deer, roe deer, fallow deer, mouflon and wild boar graze peacefully in the enclosures of the wildlife farm. Across the road, the Animal Park gives you the chance to encounter native Hungarian species, including horses, Mangalica pigs and various poultry. The interactive exhibition at the House of Nature Visitor Centre is sure to captivate every young nature enthusiast.

If a bit of adrenaline is on the agenda after animal adventures, your day is sure to get a boost at the BalatoniBob Leisure Park. The park features the country’s longest dual-track bob run on rails, an adventure park, a lookout tower and a playground, ensuring that every age group finds their favourite challenge.

At the Balaton Adventure Park in Csopak, you can feel like a child again. The rope courses of varying difficulty, pedal go-karts, quad biking, climbing wall and archery ranges will keep every family member entertained for hours. One thing is certain: it won’t be easy to get the children to leave even at the end of the day!

The most magical moment of a lookout tour is when, upon reaching the top, the landscape suddenly opens up before you—and the shimmering surface of Lake Balaton seems to lie at your feet. It is no wonder that, while marvelling at the panorama, you are left breathless for a few moments.
